this was my first book by Cara Bastone and what a blast it was! it wasnโ€™t my all time favourite, but it was definitely such a cute little story and I canโ€™t recommend this enough if you want a quick and fun read. the audiobook was also brilliant as it had background noises and multiple narrators and I think this is how all audiobooks should be done! the reading experience is much better that way.

๐™–๐™—๐™ค๐™ช๐™ฉ ๐™ฉ๐™๐™š ๐™˜๐™๐™–๐™ง๐™–๐™˜๐™ฉ๐™š๐™ง๐™จ: Marigold and Robbie were definitely meant to be together lol they were so hilarious and their banters really made me giggle a couple of times throughout the book! honestly, I wish Robbie was my friend irl cos I just know Iโ€™d laugh my arse off every single day with a person like that ๐Ÿ˜‚ I wonder what his zodiac sign wasโ€ฆ anyway, I think he was my favourite character in this book, although Marigold was quite a fun character too!

๐™–๐™—๐™ค๐™ช๐™ฉ ๐™ฉ๐™๐™š ๐™ฌ๐™ง๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™ฎ๐™ก๐™š: I loved how most of this book was told in dialogue. this made the story FLY by and it was only 4 and a half hours long! it felt so natural and like you were actually standing next to them, listening to 2 besties bantering. ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐™–๐™—๐™ค๐™ช๐™ฉ ๐™ฉ๐™๐™š ๐™ฅ๐™ก๐™ค๐™ฉ: I loved the idea of a psych project where you had to interview couples and lowkey find out whether it was love at first sight for them or not. we got 5 different stories in this book and I found them all to be so interesting! Iโ€™d love to do that irl though, hearing other people talk about their loved ones always makes my heart melt. ๐Ÿ–ค anyway, I also loved the dysfunctional family tropeโ€”Marigold had a pretty much absent father (although he was nice enough to appear out of nowhere and pay for her studies, unlike my dad ๐Ÿ™ƒ) and Robbieโ€™s parents were in an unhappy marriage. there was also a vegan representation, so if youโ€™re vegan, this book could be a fun read for you!
