⚔️ dark romantasy
🧚‍♀️ fae
❤️ fated mates
💌 love letters

A quick dark romantasy! This gave me lots of chuckles and it was definitely over the top and ridiculous. It's fun and I didn't take it too seriously. But it is really cheesy.

Rennick (aka Nick) has known that Amelia was his mate since he was thirteen but due to the fae magic laws of this world, he cannot cross the magical barrier until he's 25. He can only keep an eye on her through other means such as his familiar, a best friend who will do anything, and letters throughout the years. But when their 25th birthday comes around, Rennick is right there on Amelia's doorstop to collect.

I had fun. It moved along very fast. I loved how over the top and ridiculous it was. The world building wasn't too bad too for a book less than 300 pages. I was intrigued by it. I would probably go continue this series when I need something quick to pass the time.

Why wasn't it rated higher if I liked it? It entertained me sure. But overall it's kind of eehhh. The writing style isn't horrible, just cheesy and not my style. I said I loved the ridiculousness but I feel like some parts were bad ridiculous 😅
definitely not the parts when Rennick would kill a man for taking Amelia's v-card or cut a part of his skin off cause Ora touched him. Those were fun.
There were also a lot of plot twists thrown in all at once so the writing just felt so pantsed and *convenient*.

So I liked it! Might recommend for a fun time. But it's not like something I would say is amazing to me.
