It was an okay book. I even shed a few tears.

I really liked the beginning and loved the ending. However, I had a few issues with the chapters inbetween. They seemed pretty repetitive and kinda boring but mostly i had the problem with the way they “got together”

they already met eachother a few months earlier (aka the first chapter of the book) & when they meet for the second time, they talk a bit and then later he turns up to her apartment saying that the “look” she gave him, seemed to him to him like an invitation to just come over. I just hate how it’s normalized that there is a “look” or the whole “fuck me eyes” trend. Those things just help invalidate rape victims because there are certain cases where the rapist would say that the victim just looked at them like that. Media has to stop normalizing that a “look” can indicate something that it just cant.

(the guy in the book didnt do anything but it still weirded me out the whole time they mentioned the “look”)
