I’ve been in a really weird reading mood. As it stands, I’m definitely a mood reader but I have so many conflicting genres going on right now that I’m just not sure what to do with it. Motorcycle Club Romances have been one of my moods recently but I’m so picky about them that it’s hard to find a series I enjoy.

Some may remember that I did read book 2 and was underwhelmed but I did want to try book one as I figured I’d like it a lot better. Happily I was right. King and Cress are honestly such an adorable and lovely couple. It’s definitely an age-gap that is pretty significant but I believe King is beyond his years and shouldn’t be treated as a kid.

I loved the freedom aspect for Cressida. She’s having to learn all over again how to live where she is on her own and loving herself in a new way. Her concern for her feelings for King are so honest and her genuine concern for everyone but herself is refreshing in MC romance.

My only qualms with this book is that I wish it had more plot. There were clearly things happening behind the scenes that we don’t get to see and I would have loved if the author included this in the story.
