Paris for One and Other Stories by Jojo Moyes

2.0

The novella pissed me off so much. I was expecting a freeing story about a woman who experiences Paris and comes into her own on an exciting, self-confident adventure. Instead I got a timid, needy girl who is abandoned by her boyfriend and is immediately picked up and taken care of by a suave French dude who is all manly and romantic. This would appeal to me except Nell's character development completely relies on this guy taking care of her and convincing her that she needs him. Ugh... the other short stories were okay but I struggled to relate to most of them. I love Me Before You so I expected to enjoy this book, but it just aggravated me more than anything.
