I loved Tamora Pierce's Tortall series as a child through teen. I don't read them constantly, but I periodically come back to them. When I saw she had released a book about Numair, I had to read it.
I could not put it down. I read most of the book in 24 hours. I might have even read the whole thing in that time. It just captured me until I reached the end. The book is extremely long, but it spans years of Numair's story. The only thing I was unhappy about was the point at which the story ended. I cannot wait for the next installment to come out.
