Becoming Anne: Connections, Culture, Court by Kate McCaffrey, Owen Emmerson

5.0

When I heard about this exhibit through Emmerson's Instagram account, I immediately ordered this companion book. Unfortunately, travelling to the exhibit was not an option, but the book was the next best thing. This book discusses the aspects of Anne Boylen's life that are not usually the central focus of her biographies or films about her as they occurred outside of England. Although not a great deal of information is known about her time on the continent the book does a nice job of filling in this period of her life and providing further information about her family background. If you enjoy Tudor history or liked the documentary, "The Boleyn's A Scandalous Family" this is a great read.
