Owls of the Eastern Ice: A Quest to Find and Save the World's Largest Owl by Jonathan C. Slaght

adventurous informative tense medium-paced

4.25

Really fascinating portait of life of a research biologist and on the ground conservation. It is daily log style and evokes the environment vividly. It was both entertaining to a non-biologist and very informative. I kept wishing I was reading it while in a winter cabin. I would recommend this if you are interested in conservation, Russian culture at all, birds, and reading an outdoor adventure story.
