I sobbed through most of this book. We see the boys support each other as they each navigate challenging situations. The love and care they have for each other is so clear (I’m still sobbing).
Charlie’s struggle to speak openly to his parents about his struggles with food feels so real. It breaks my heart. I’m so happy Nick was able to identify that something is up with Charlie and broach the topic with him. It’s a relief to see Nick’s mom’s support in this situation. Her statement that a romantic partner can’t solve all the problems is a much needed lesson! She encourages Nick to support Charlie, but not put all of that entirely on his own shoulders. I wonder if Tori is okay!
