Suzanne Collins is almost TOO good at writing - I hate Snow so much I don't think I'll ever pick this book up again. The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, rather than just being about cruelty for cruelty's sake, has symbolism that hits you at every stage - I kept finding myself comparing events in the book to real-life atrocities, particularly Palestine as it's been at the forefront of my mind recently. A true warning of how the world can turn out if we continue to allow the most evil parts of mankind to prosper.
