A cute, mostly fluffy romance that I found very bingeable.

I really loved both Evie and Jake- I wish his daughter was in the book more. I found the interactions between Evie and Sam absolutely adorable. Jake was a very dedicated and loving father- which he proves repeatedly throughout the book. I did think it was weird how much sexual tension and build up there was in this book for it to end up being a closed door romance. Not that those bother me- but it seemed a bit odd.

I also found it weird that these characters would have these pages long internal monologues during interactions with each other. Like, I know brains can process fast but...I can't fathom being able to relive my entire life in a flashback and then also have a million thoughts about the appearance of the person standing in front of me all with in the normal amount of time that it should take to pause and respond. I'm imagining them just standing there buffering...

There is a third act break-up (ish) because of course there is but it's quickly resolved. I found myself big annoyed that Evie didn't realize ahead of time that the dinner her parents asked her to come to was a trap. Like... c'mon, you're smarter than that.
This book has a perfectly tidy HEA which I can't decide if I love or hate.

All in all this book doesn't really anything new in terms of the romance plot, but I did love that this one had epilepsy representation. There was quite a bit that annoyed me, but also the story was super fluffy and cute and there were DOGS!

*listened to the audio narration and I loved both of the narrators- it was a lot of fun
If you like fluffy, romance stories I say give it a go.
