I went into this book blind and I’m so glad I did. Patchett’s writing style is reminiscent of Fitzgerald but without the pretense and the occasional overuse of metaphor. This is a somewhat slow and simple story about two siblings — the way they love each other through the things that happen to them. It’s simply fantastic. I’m eagerly waiting for tomorrow when I can pick up another novel by Ann Patchett.
