Oh. My. God. My heart. I’ll be honest, I got this book on a whim because I knew it was queer and it was on sale in the kindle store. I am so glad. This book dove into race and identity in a way that is so simple to understand and almost just seems like, duh. I am a white person who obviously benefits everyday from white privilege. This book was a great example of how to educate myself without having to ask the people of color in my life to do the work for me. Everyone should read this book. There are romantic aspects of this book, but it is not the romance story I had expected.
I will say, there are a few plot points that just kind of.. disappear? But honestly the book is so good I don’t even care. Amazing, wonderful, will be reading again.
