My new favourite in this series - they just keep getting better!
I couldn't put this book down; royals, magic, secrets, scandal - yes please! Loved it for the "hunger games for the king's hand in marriage" theme, and the whole "king falls in love with his mistress and makes her his queen" thing . Best book in the Dark Rulers Romance series so far, enjoying slowly learning new bits & pieces about this fantasy world through different perspectives.
This is the first book in the series that made me want more of this story, these characters; instead of the standalone romances. I loved this romance, the characters and their stories, their powers and growth, I want more. A few times the plot was a little predictable, but still enjoyable.
Medium spice, more than the previous books in the series.
