Deceit by Ava Harrison

5.0

5 “To living” Stars!!!

Time and time again I ask myself if Ava can top her previous book. And honestly I don’t even know why I bother because it’s no question that she does every. Single. Time.

I was so taken with this story. The ability that Ava has to bring out all the emotions out of me, my gosh. I was hooked from the very beginning. All my senses revolved around Oliver and Addison. I couldn’t not not think about them. They consumed me and they were the only ones that mattered. Dear lord I was so taken with them, they absolutely owned me.

Addison is so strong and fierce. She’s built walls around her heart and she’s convinced herself there’s no love in her future. She’s made a name of herself, thus making her successful. But with success and money she has no idea of men’s true intentions. She’s guarded, that is until Olly. One chance meeting and Oliver brings out a side of Addison she’s kept locked away.

Oliver Blackthorn is the Earl of Lockhart. He’s arrogant, but also has an endearing side. He’s playful and fun and not at all stuck-up. He’s in a dilemma though, and in the back of his mind he knows what he has to do. But trying to make his mom happy has left Oliver torn in fulfilling a family duty and his growing attraction to Addison, the woman who has him feeling more than he has before.

Addison and Oliver pulled me in every which way. Oliver is every bit the charmer and I couldn’t help but be smitten with him. And Addison is such a badass that had me rooting hardcore for her. Together, Addison and Oliver are explosive. There’s no denying their attraction and they were just so great together. I couldn’t get enough of them and just wanted and needed more.

Deceit was suspenseful and action packed. The twists and turns had my head spinning. It’s not an easy road for Oliver and Addison, it took time for them to get where they were always meant to be. It’s an emotional rollercoaster, but well worth it. Definitely recommend!
