Darkness Revealed by Alexandra Ivy

I finally got a book in this series that was really worth the hype. Anna Randal was watching out for her cousin when she got pulled into a dark room and her life changed FOREVER.
200 years later, Anna finds Conde Cezar and she is bound to make him pay for taking a bite of her.

First of all, Anna is no simpering female. Second, she is a geninely thoughtful person. I have noticed that the women in this series are kind hearted. One took in a gargoyle, another is a vegetarian despite being a werewolf, Anna is a champion of those needing justice. the women also seem stronger (in magical power) than their mates, so that's cool too.

In this story, Anna wasn't going to let Cezar just blindly lead her or lie to her. She wanted a full partnership and it made Cezar respect her.
BTW, I am quite amused by the french gargoyle
