The Impossible Boy by Anna Martin

3.5*
Liked it, thought it was a nice story, but it didnt get me in the feels as much as I was expecting.
I liked Stan, would have liked to get more inside him developing to where he was now. And also how he spiralled down so quickly after his visit to Manchester - the sequencing in the book made it seem very sudden when it wasn't really.
I think I wanted to get more into Stan's psyche, how his upbringing affected his decisions, more about his move out if Russia etc.
Ben was a good character and I liked Tone a lot, despite all his faux pas! Ben may have been hovering a bit around Stan but it is what we all would probably do in the circumstances.
Easily reading style.
