This book went in a completely different direction than I initially expected. I was thoroughly convinced I knew the plot from beginning to end just to have all the rugs ripped out from under me at once.
I received this book in my February 2022 book of the month box and--girl what??
So many things confuse me. I'm still unsure what I think of the ex-therapist Avery but I initially hated her. I'm studying to be a psychotherapist in college right now, and a lot of her methods probably wouldn't fly irl. In fact fictionally they don't fly and that's why she loses her license.
Man this book is insane.
