They're saying she's an Aussie Sally Rooney but it's a nauuuur for me.
Characters are interchangeable, there aren't any meaningful relationships, and the writing can be a bit heavy-handed. Or maybe it's just the generation gap, and I was too old for this? Lol
There were some interesting turns of phrase though, and the author is obviously sharp, but you can tell she knows she's sharp by the way she uses 'edifying' every 10 pages.
