I don't believe for a second that this dude is legitimately unattractive. We're told he's ugly through shitty women and the tabloids, but the author clearly wanted the insecurity angst while still describing a generic hot romance lead.

The sex was poorly written and dull. Sex Miranda felt like a different character. 

This one just did not work for me.
