Wild Fire by Christine Feehan

5.0

This series just keeps getting better. Relationship wise this is my favorite so far. In all resepcts I enjoyed reading it even more than Burning Wild or Wild Rain which is saying something. However, while I found the characters very deep, touching, thrilling and so much more I found this book lacking in two areas which Burning Wild excelled one I didn't mind the other I felt would've made it even better.
The first, being that unlike the other books the other characters/leopards aren't as fully involved or developed. The reason I don't mind this much is from the previous books they should be well remembered.
The second, was that there is so much interesting history between Connor and Isabeau but that isn't at all described in detail. We know what happened but I would've liked to read some on the past as with Burning Wild going into Jake's childhood and starting off that way. I think do so would've made the book even better because it was such a big telling part of their relationship. The only way I got past this is that they describe what had happened well enough-- but I was still left wanting more detail.
In true fashion for the leopard people books the climax to the story is thrilling and makes it difficult to stop reading. I wanted to finish so badly but then I didn't.
Also the reintroduction of Elijah from Wild Rain was interesting leaving me wanting his story because of his past as well. Then there is the introduction of Jeramiah. I absolutely loved him! Adding some comic relief to such a serious group of leopards, being a young leopard he liks to joke around and provides from great moments.
All in all I love this book!
