Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett

5.0

I hesitated when i was about to press the 5 stars button, and paused thinking for a minute. This happens sometimes when I'm overwhelmed so much by the greatness of a book. Also, I can't write a review about it, or else it'll diminish my experience, because what i felt and understood can't be put into words.. and I'm still in process of assimilating it. But here's a passage i liked:

"Vladimir: Let us do something, while we have the chance! It's not everyday that we're needed. Not indeed that we personally are needed. Others would meet 5he case equally well, if not better. To all mankind they were addressed, those cries for help still ringing in our ears! But at this place, at this moment of time, all mankind is us, whether we like it or not. Let us make the most of it, before it's too late! Let us represent the foul brood to which a cruel fate consigned us! What do you say? [Estragon says nothing]"

PS: if you're reading this and English isn't your native language, then you better get a dictionary and read it in English anyways.
