Kangaroo Too by Curtis C. Chen

3.0

I had really enjoyed _Waypoint Kangaroo_. It was funny, with a spy who couldn't figure out how to take a vacation. So once I finished it, I grabbed the second book. This time around it didn't work out as well.

Don't get me wrong, this is still Kangaroo & his super power pocket. But the amount of reveals come fast, with secrets that would usually take several books to unwind are slapped down on the table. Even Kangaroo mentions this at one point. Then the ultimate twist hits, which hits my button for when things usually jump the shark.

I would have liked the author building his characters out so we could see them on more adventures. It's rare to have spies, humor and science fiction within a single book. While still fun, it doesn't have the flair of the first book.
