The Radium Girls: The Dark Story of America's Shining Women by Kate Moore

1.0

I could NOT get through this book- I quit 70 pages into it. First- there are about a million characters that are described in full detail. Second- it felt like we were walking in circles. They think the paint is safe, then they don’t, then someone tells them it is, so they believe them, and then something happens and they don’t anymore.. I can’t imagine what the next 300 pages look like- the first 70 were the same thing over and over again. The topic is super interesting, but this read kind of like a news article for me. It’s not poorly written, I just couldn’t get into it.
