the same author who wrote a dowry of blood wrote this one so i had to pick it up. also, it was set in winter... but i ended up feeling meh about this. if the author changed one thing, this book could've been really good— it should've been told from the other girl's pov. the writing style is already there, and the characters and their dynamics are interesting but the plot is weak bc it was told by a character who didn't have enough motivation for the readers to root for. it's so regretful bc i liked a lot of its elements.
