2.75 for Devious Lies, by Parker S. Huntington

I thought that this book was too long. Many scenes in the books where very repetitive for example, the meetings with the interior design team. The readers do not need to know every detail about those meetings. I wished the author would have developed the Emery's relationship with other side charters. I wanted to see the relationship between Emery and Reed after what happened with her family.

Sadly, I did not fall in love with the characters. Emery and Nash relationship was a lot better when they were younger. The author did not develop their relationship when they were older/ finally got together. Also, Nash was a big idiot. He knew that Emery was not doing well at all early on, but he chose to ignore it due to getting the revenge he thinks he deserves. The banter between the characters where fun at some points. Plot was predictable.
