I HATE LYSANDER. He makes me angry, but I think that is what Pierce Brown wanted me to feel. He has gone from a knowledgeable little kid to an upstanding teen to the scum of the universe adult. Let me acknowledge that I loved this book, and Darrow finally realizing that he doesn't have to do everything alone is grand. I love the Lyria side of the story. Mustang and Sevro's learning and growing past thinking of just themselves or their families is outstanding. I wish Lysander would use his brain for once and see that he is turning into his grandmother in all aspects, even though he has started to despise her in every way. I need the last book so that I can be finished with hating Lysander
. This book is excellent and necessary after reading Dark Age. It resolves problems left in the last entry while posing more issues for the cast. We are building to a finish of epic proportions in Red God.
