I received this book from Blackstone Audio via Audiobook Jukebox.

The Beautiful Ashes is the new book by Jeaniene Frost. Frost is the author of the Night Huntress and Night Prince series. The Beautiful Ashes is apart of the Broken Destiny series that is a New Adult Trilogy. In this book Frost departs from the world of vampires and enter the world of demons. Readers will be introduced into a new characters and a world in this series.

This is Ivy and Adrian story. Ivy is a 20-year-old college student that has always seen thing that she thought was a side effect her resulting from mental illness. Over time she learns how to play normal to get through life. Adrian is this guy that knows the strange and crazy things Ivy has seen all her life is totally real. This book was interesting and clever. Frost does a great job at creating the world. As for the characters I really never was pulled into their stories. At times Ivy was very foolish. But at the end of the book that I really start to like her. As for Adrian he typical YA/New Adult bad boy, with a complicated past and die-hard good looks. This book left me full of questions, and I will read the next book in this series. Also the book was full of funny one-liners. As for the narration Tavia Gilbert she did a great job. I will recommend that anyone that likes the Night Huntress series to give this one a try.
