I enjoyed this short novel WAY MORE than the original book - it seems uncomplicated, you can clearly see the bond between Connell and Marianne. It still has that weird aspect (the fact that Connell is literally fascinated and attracted to Marianne's pain??? I can't) that Sally Rooner is known for, however it somehow fits the story.
