I don’t know if this is truly a 4 star book or that I’m reading it 6 months into widowhood and it simply spoke to me. A man living a particularly banal existence discovers he’s only got a few months to live (should have listened to his wife, why don’t husbands do that?) and decides he must put things right before he takes his leave. They end of being the happiest days of his life.
