This was a good, enjoyable book with a great alpha male lead. Deck is a soldier who’s best friend Connor is killed. Deck promised to care for Connors little sister Georgie. For the first 2 years Deck’s not there, and really that’s when Georgie could have used protection the most. Since then he’s come back and now has his whole team keep tabs on her all the time, he is seriously over protective. But the Georgie he comes back to isn’t the one he left. Georgie and Deck have always had chemistry but Deck is insistent that nothing happens. Georgie also has a secret life that she is struggling to keep from deck due to his overly protective surveillance.

This book has a lot going on in it and I found it a little confusing. The main thing I look for is romance and I felt like all the twists and turns detracted from it a bit, though the romance was still strong and enjoyable.

Super good, interesting book but I don’t recommend it for if you’re in a light mood. It’s got a bit of a crime/mystery vibe to it and needs focus. I really enjoyed the writing and am interested in reading more from the author. I know some of her other books are coming to audible in June.
