Collide by L.B. Dunbar

COLLIDE is a rockstar novella. It's kind of a spin-off/prequel of AFTER CARE which features Tommy Carrigan but no worries, it can be read alone!

Ivy Carrigan is rock n roll royalty. She's the daughter of the infamous Kit Carrigan and the niece of legendary Tommy Carrigan and she's about to finish her degree in music therapy. You'd think her life was perfect but nothing is that easy. Running into rocker, Gage Everly, is like an explosion, one that'll change her life forever.

The romance between Gage and Ivy literally starts with a bang that brings them together briefly before they drift apart. When they meet again on vacation in Hawaii, their relationship builds much slower but it's still super hot. Without giving too much away, I'll say that Ivy had built a wall around herself a mile high and with good reason. She actually had a pretty tough past and she needed that wall to protect her fragile heart. Don't give up on Ivy! I know some readers might be turned off by her circumstances but this is absolutely a great story about true love, regardless of your past.

Now Gage. Oh my goodness, Gage was totally swoony-licious! Talk about the perfect book boyfriend. He never gave up on Ivy, not once. Gage was intent on winning Ivy's heart and I loved how he remained so loyal and trusting in his decision to make Ivy his. He was charming, patient, loving...like I said, swoony-licious!

This is a novella but reads more like a full length novel. I'm glad we got to meet the younger Tommy but also stoked to learn more about the other band members. And I'm hoping that Ms. Dunbar gives us more of Collision. Told from dual POVs with a delightful end. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
