Meredith, Alone by Claire Alexander

4.0

3.5⭐ The switch between past and present was a good pacing vehicle. The main character's mental illness is thoroughly explored, without being self indulgent or things being resolved too neatly. Claire Alexander has a straightforward writing style, and I wasn't surprised that her oeuvre includes both children's stories and non-fiction sociology texts. Will definitely read more from her.
