[Yeets Wren's POV into the sun]
A solid finale, if not for the presence of spurious POVs (yes, I'm taking about Wren) it would have been much stronger. Alas, the author decided to once again bump up against my pet peeve of adding POV characters in later books. I'm sure many readers will not be bothered by this, and I did enjoy the action, pacing (except the very end which felt drawn out), and Lei's narrative, in addition to the cool demon setting established in the other books.
Also had a small issue with Ngan tacking on ace rep in the last chapter instead of letting us know this about the character earlier, but it is a light criticism.
Will miss the animal demon world and magic system.
