I was distraught for two days after reading this book. Legit, my friends caught me staring out the window at dinner because I was lost in thought. This book won’t just give you emotional damage, it might scar you in the best and worst ways that only dark romance lovers can understand!!

The challenging, forbidden relationship between Petra and Alexander made me question my morals… because despite being uncomfortable I also wanted them to fight the odds and be together SO BAD. This is most definitely a slow burn, and romantic thriller is a good genre label. I was on the edge of my seat from all the twists and turns in this story!! There are so many questions left about the Van Dierans, Petra’s parents, and the secrets they hold together… I cannot wait to see how this story unfolds in the rest of the series!
