My friend introduced me to the masterpiece of a movie some years ago, so when I found out this book had been written I just had to read it. The book includes everything I wanted to know, and more.
Apart from amazing production artwork and photos from set, it contains the full uncut screenplay, interviews with Goddard and Whedon as well as the cast, the makings of the monsters, amongst other things.

For anyone that’s a big fan of the movie, I highly recommend reading the book.
