Song of Susannah by Stephen King
2.0
Yep. I am still ticked at this book. I don't even know what to say. I still say "Song of Susannah" was the foreshadowing of what ended up being the final book "The Dark Tower". There have probably been better reviews than mine out there on this one. And all I can say is that when Stephen King inserted himself into these books I should have quit while I was ahead. I do think that the graphic novels are awesome and made me fall all in love with these books again. "The Wind Through the Keyhole" was fantastic and helped bring the books back to where they were at the beginning.
Pros: Well we are back with our ka-tet. Mostly.
Cons: Just about everything else. This book was always King's take on the Arthurian legend mixed with some Lord of the Rings sci-fi- mash-up. But this one delving back into Susannah and her breaking into another character was just too much for me. Don't get me started on Mia's chap. The book moves so damn slow it will make you want to scream after a while.
