Misfortunism by Bill Masuku

5.0

I love the concept of this book! The whole "misery made into magic" concept really drew me in.

My favourite part of the book was the prose. It was beautifully written. I enjoyed the meandering descriptions, metaphors and imagery. There was no time wasted on bland descriptions of places or people. This approach worked as it left time to focus on what William was going through (which was also well written).

"The mind is where Heaven and Earth meet," he continues, raising a hand out of the shadow to tap his temple. "All concepts, innovations and divinations start right here. God, time travel, supernatural abilities, new inventions, poetry, relationships, and emotions maintain a suggestible existence. b>

A great read - I'm looking forward to the next book
