RTC but just know I LOVED this an impossible amount
edit:
Brother's best friend is one of my least favorite tropes because I will never understand the weird family dynamic of brother being overprotective and thinking they can have a say in how their sibling dates, but the way Meadows handled this was *chef's kiss*.
I love Lena and Gavin, both are fleshed out, have distinct personalities, and add to the tension of this winter novella. Meadows does a great job with their tension - the "we want each other, but shouldn't" and the "we're in love and it can ruin everything." It gave a dash of friends to lovers without actually diving into another trope. Pining was perfectly done and Meadows used tropes to her advantage. Then there's the pacing of this was also incredible - I was nervous when I found out it was going to be a week-long time period, but because there are snippets of Lena and Gavin's pasts with and without each other, it worked so well. Gavin has a filthy mouth, Lena has comebacks for days and the two set the room on fire whenever they are in it - whether it's bickering or doing something more. I loved this and everyone should read it.
