Batman, Volume 5: Zero Year: Dark City by Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV

4.0

Great collection. Batman is younger and shows more emotion than the older, grizzly version and it’s a good change. The story feels a little like Knightfall in a good way - sort of like a homage to a city in siege motif. Some parts were a little confusing but that didn’t distract too much. It was good to see Bruce get a bit of the spotlight. It was good to see him panic and care.

The ending especially was great. Bruce affirming his devotion to Gotham was touching and a little sad.

Great collection !
