Ranieri Andretti by Parker S. Huntington

So this book was actually sweeter than I expected it to be! The Ranie that we've met in previous books is vicious, menacing, and doesn't take crap from anybody. In this book, the romance is written as a childhood friends-to-enemies-to-lovers type situation. It's a huge second-chance love story, and because of how it was written, there's a lot of back and forth between the past and the present. I think it was wonderfully written, I think that this author did a wonderful job of making us see a different side of Ranie. Who can tame the big bad Beast? I love these kinds of stories, where the bad guy falls to his knees for a woman, and this one was delivered so so well. And Carina! Gah my heart just broke for her. The turmoil she experiencedat the loss of their friendship was tough to read, but I think it made their reconnection even that much stronger. This was a great addition to the series!
