Lockdown by Alexander Gordon Smith

4.0

2020. i started reading this book in 2020.

everytime i looked at my bookshelf my eyes always landed on this book and it reminded me how i left it there for years. the worst thing is that the book was really good. i read the first 50 pages and for some reason didnt continue but those 50 pages were so good i found myself thinking about them like every month

but then why didnt you continue reading it? idk. maybe the genre was too intense and kinda dark and i just wasnt interested in reading about kids getting locked up in prison and getting kidnapped from their cells in the middle of the night. but i finally did cuz the guilt i felt everytime i looked at the book became unbearable, and im glad i did cuz the story was super interesting and it keeps you on your feet. i even found myself caring for the characters

the book ended in a cliffhanger tho and there are like 5 more books. will i read them? no. the ending was good enough for me. but did i enjoy it and would i recommend it? absolutely
