Did not finish book. Stopped at 9%.

I began this book because the cover is absolutely beautiful and (weirdly) our copy smells of incense? It just added to the whole vibe, but when I got to chapter 2 and there was a shift in both character and POV (third person to first person) I just couldn't keep on with it. The idea of the story sounds awesome, but the POV shift on top of a character shift was just too jarring for me. Thumbing through the book shows that it continues in that fashion, so maybe it's something I could get used to, but I wasn't drawn in enough to look past it and continue.
