If you’re looking for a safe way to explore the after effects of sexual trauma, this is a great way to do it. Personally, I don’t enjoy media where it’s the main focus and there was very little of this book where that wasn’t a strong undertone. That said, the characters were all immensely charming. Moon always manages to create swoon-worthy men and this was no exception. The spice was definitely on the tamer end for a why choose with only one scene featuring our FMC with more than one partner. If you’re looking for relationship dynamics over smut, this is absolutely for you.

I’m not sure why this is two books. The plot was barely existent which is totally fine in romance as long as the relationship development makes up the bulk of the plot. This book takes that route. Honestly, if the faint stalker plot line had been removed and a slightly more Happily Ever After chapter had been tagged on at the end with no other changes, I think this would have been a full story. I didn’t reach the end of this one desperate to hear more. I assume the next book is there so she can be claimed/have sex with the last couple alphas but that is so little plot to make an entire book on.

I’m going to read it because my friend asked me to but I probably wouldn’t under other circumstances.
