The writing is sometimes not tight, like a mention of World War I just to segway into an unrelated ransomware paragraph, as well as mentioning an FBI agent who goes hardcore onto the Trump Train. Otherwise, I quite enjoyed it as both a true crime and tech book.
The book doesn't follow a single case, unlike most true crime books, instead, it's more "character-driven" with a focus on the team, their histories, and their skills, which I quite enjoyed. Learning about gangs was also fascinating, and really put a human face to the very behind-the-keyboard nature of them.
