I was a big fan of Jayne Castle books about ten years ago, so I was quite excited when I picked this up. In fact, I could hardly wait to read it. So maybe this is a case of unrealistic expectations - because I kind of hated this.

Frankly, it was boring. Seriously - fall asleep reading it kind of boring. Since I've read this I have come across books that were more boring ... so at least I finished this. It had a complete plot that was somewhat fluid - just .... boring.

The characters were just .... meh. The most exciting character was Lyra's pet dust bunny. Not even kidding. That dude was hilarious. Lyra and Cruz .... too predictable maybe? I don't know - they just didn't do it for me.

I guess in conclusion I didn't like this book. What can I say? It was a novel! It had characters! There was a plot!
