I enjoyed this book, but the ending felt super rushed. I loved the world-building and the characters. I do wish the main characters got to know each other a bit more before acting so in love. I didn't really understand why they liked each other so much. I think maybe I just wanted a less YA take on their connection, but this is a YA fantasy so that's on me.
As a side note, I wish I had known it wasn't a stand-alone book because I hate when I have to wait for sequels and the ending of this book was particularly unsatisfying.
