A Curse of Blood & Stone by K.A. Tucker

3.0

It’s the second book of a trilogy so I knew it wasn’t going to end on an über satisfying note. That being said, I really love how this author writes her stories. It’s a fantasy world and adventure is the plot. We join the characters on a journey to a world foretold by prophesy. What this world holds? I can’t say without spoiling it. The author really pulls you in and helps you forget that you’ve just left a long work day of helping middle schoolers learn to write a short essay response and covering for the band teacher, helps you forget that you’re driving a car listening through the magical connection called ~Bluetooth~ and instead feel like you’re on horseback preparing to camp for the night next to spell-casters and vampires. You’re discovering new powers like water and fire bending, and magical healing when you’re kingdom’s loyal and burly soldiers get hurt after a wild beast attack. The plot between Romeria and Zander is sexier, which of course was fun! I really do love this series; it’s one of the best fantasy stories I’ve ever read and I hope you choose to read it too. BUT I won’t blame you if you choose to wait for the final book in the trilogy to be released because waiting for the next book is just TORTURE
