Someone Like You, by Sarah Dessen

4.0

For me, summer hasn’t started until I pick up a Sarah Dessen book. In high school, I had every one of her books on my TBR and I’m so glad I’m working my way through her backlist. I had never read this one before but I loved it. This book focuses in on mother-daughter relationships, found family, teen pregnancy, and ultimately the power of female friendship. It was a quick read, cheesy in some parts, and has a smidge of romance but overall was a solid reminder of how important it is to have a best friend. Would recommend to any high school girl for sure.
