This is a genuinely delightful magical, almost-cozy mystery, and it’s the first in a series!
Sylvia is making her way in post-war London, new to the city and alone. After a series of jobs falls through one after the other, she unexpectedly lands at the side of a Scotland Yard consultant who is investigating the attempted thefts of suspected magical art. Sylvia and Gabe must discover who is behind the attempts because both of them are in danger.
Interesting, easy read in the realm of magical academia.
